The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the daily time and payroll operations in an outsourced payroll environment across multiple states and Canada. This role will maintain the payroll and time tracking systems to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company policy using ADP payroll system.

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $21.16 an hour to $36.05 an hour with additional bonus potential
Role and responsibilities:
Ensures accurate and timely payroll updates are completed including new hires, terminations, promotions, job changes, and changes to pay rates from Workday and UKG Dimensions source systems
Perform day to day payroll and time activities to include timecard and accrual review in Workday and UKG Dimensions source systems
Assist in sending Garnishments in a timely manner to ADP for processing
Review and audit of pre and post payroll entries and reports for both US and Canadian payroll
Assist with import files for one time or special payment files such as commissions & bonuses
Assist with any off-cycle or manual payment payroll processing with ADP
Prepare and issue manual payments from Client account using net pay calculation and amount provided by ADP
Prepare and Distribute post payroll and monthly financial reports as well as ad-hoc reports as needed
Notify ADP of any stop payments or check reversals needed and provide specific impacted payments
Research and resolve simple situations regarding various system, data, and employee matters.
Provide quality and timely support on payroll related issues
Knowledgeable in FLSA regulations particularly as it relates to overtime regular rate of pay requirements and be able to accurately calculate the regular rate of pay in a current or look back condition.
Evaluate and identify system and employee level changes required to ensure compliance with state and federal tax and other regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience with like experience in a multi-state payroll environment.
Knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations, payroll tax, and procedures.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Personable, professional demeanor, and strong Customer Service Aptitude
Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
Demonstrate a high degree of integrity and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
Computer savvy, including working knowledge of ADP or other Enterprise Payroll System, UKG Dimensions or other Enterprise time system and MS Office (Advanced level Excel proficiency).
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
