Job summary

ComptaFinance, Inc. is seeking a skilled bookkeeper with strong accounting knowledge in Canada. The role focuses on payroll, asset depreciation, and maintaining ledgers using manual and computerized systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, a college/CEGEP diploma, and proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and MS Word. You will ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting within a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Education: College/CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience is preferred.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping processes and financial recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
• Prepare trial balance of books
• Reconcile accounts
