A leading company in payroll management is seeking a Payroll Lead to oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for both US and Canadian employees. What you will be doing:
Ensure timely and accurate processing of both US and Canadian payroll from start to finish
Adhere to federal, state, provincial, local tax laws, wage laws, and relevant regulations in the U.S. and Canada
Support the team by addressing payroll processing issues and recommending process improvements
Review and confirm payroll data to ensure accuracy in employee compensation
Oversee task allocation, ensuring the efficient completion of all payroll duties
Track team productivity, identify areas for improvement, and promote ongoing training and development
Collaborate with the Payroll Supervisor to set and assess performance goals for direct reports
Conduct payroll audits, support reconciliations, and perform variance analysis to ensure accuracy and reduce risks for compliance and finance teams
What you must have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience of full cycle payroll, in a complex organizational environment
Minimum 1 year experience in a payroll supervisor/lead position
PCP or PLP Certification with the National Payroll Institute
Experience in payroll reporting, reconciliation and Year-End Processing and tax filings
Ensures compliance with all legislative authorities
Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Customer service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Excel
Proficiency with ERP accounting systems (JD Edwards would be an asset)
A team player with the ability to work independently
Salary/Rate Range: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00
