MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc. in Mississauga is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage payroll for about 750 employees and oversee health benefits programs.

You will ensure data accuracy in SAP SuccessFactors and UKG, process changes, and respond to inquiries with a high level of service. Ideal candidates have 3+ years payroll experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and knowledge of payroll legislation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS and UKG time/attendance.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word; ability to manage complex data with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing for ~750 hourly and salaried employees.
  • Administer payroll changes and data integrity in SAP SuccessFactors and UKG.
  • Handle employee timecards and health benefits administration.
  • Support year-end payroll activities and audits.
  • Provide timely, accurate responses to payroll inquiries.

Reporting toSenior Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Specialistprovides administrativesupport and guidance to all employees with regards to payroll and benefitsfunctions.

Responsibilities
  • Payroll processing for approximately 750 hourly and salaried employees,
  • Administer payroll ‑ related employee changes and data integrity in SAP Success Factors, includingterminations,unpaid leave,title changes, compensation changes,employeeprofileupdatesand manager changes; ensures relevant department and team members are notified,
  • Administeremployee timecards,includingabsencedata entry in our time management system (UKG Dimensions)
  • Administertheemployee health benefits plan,including new hire enrolment, employee changes, terminations, and life event updates,
  • Support the administration ofSTD & LTDbenefits claimsandGroup RRSPprograms,
  • Support year ‑ end payroll activitiesand payroll audits,
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a high standard of customer service, providing clear andaccurateinformation,
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and liaise with benefits providers to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Administer employee access to HR systems (Success Factors, UKG Pro, UKG Dimensions) by registering accounts and requesting password resets through our shared services provider, support employees with account registrations by clarifying processes and providing relevant guides whenrequired,
  • Partner with the Finance department toprovidethe payroll & benefits related reports as needed
  • Must adhere to all payroll timelines andmaintaindata integrity
  • Ensure strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information,
  • Participate in ad hocPayroll& Benefits-related projects,
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal),
  • Flexible and willing to learn new tasks,
  • Current work authorization for Canada isrequiredfor all openings.

Experience
  • Intermediatelevel,3+yearsofhands-onpayroll processingexperience.
  • Knowledge of payrolllegislation, as well as employment standards.
  • Working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (or similar HRIS), and UKG time and attendance is considered an asset.
  • IntermediateMicrosoft Excel and Word skills (v-lookups, pivot tables).
  • Experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
Education
  • College diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Payroll, Business Administration,
  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP)certificate, or working towards, is an asset
  • Experience withSAP Success Factors,UKG Pro, and/or UKG Dimensionsis considered an asset.
