Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to own end-to-end payroll and administer comprehensive benefits in our Hamilton office.

You will ensure accurate biweekly payroll processing, handle ROEs and T4s, and maintain compliance with regulations while partnering with Finance and People teams. In this hands-on role, you’ll manage benefits programs, coordinate with brokers, and contribute to Total Rewards initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive payroll and benefits administration.
  • Hands-on end-to-end payroll experience.
  • Experience with biweekly and off-cycle payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of ROEs, T4s, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Experience administering complex employee benefits programs.
  • Experience with RRSP/DPSP, HSA, health & dental, disability, and wellness programs.
  • Experience managing WSIB payments and claims.
  • Exposure to compensation benchmarking, salary mapping, and Total Rewards is valued.
  • PCP designation preferred; ADP WFNow or Humi experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll changes.
  • Manage payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process ROEs, T4s, and other required payroll documentation.
  • Ensure payroll practices remain compliant with applicable legislation and requirements.
  • Partner with Finance and People teams to ensure accurate payroll reporting and reconciliation.
  • Oversee the full employee benefits lifecycle, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Support benefits brokers and external providers to resolve employee questions and issues.
  • Contribute to market analysis and compensation data for competitive pay practices.
  • Collaborate on rewards and recognition programs within Total Rewards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll and benefits professional who loves being hands-on, detail-oriented, and deeply involved in the employee experience.

Reporting directly to Director - HR ,you’ll own the end-to-end payroll process while playing a key role in benefits administration, compliance, compensation benchmarking, and rewards & recognition.

What You'll Own
Payroll
  • Manage end-to-end biweekly payroll processing with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Process off-cycle payrolls, adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll changes.
  • Manage payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process ROEs, T4s, and other required payroll documentation.

  • Partner closely with Finance and People teams to ensure accurate payroll reporting and reconciliation.
Benefits & Total Rewards
  • Manage the full employee benefits lifecycle, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Coordinate with benefits brokers and external providers to resolve employee questions and issues.
  • Administer a comprehensive benefits portfolio, including:
    • Health & Dental
    • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
    • HSA
    • Wellness Spending Accounts
    • RRSP, RESP & DPSP programs
    • pet insurance plan
    • Other employee benefit programs
  • Support employees with benefits-related questions and ensure a seamless employee experience.
Compliance & Compensation
  • Manage WSIB payments, reporting, and claims.
  • Support compensation benchmarking and salary mapping initiatives.
  • Assist with market analysis and compensation data to support competitive and equitable pay practices.
  • Partner with the People/Rewards team on rewards and recognition programs.
  • Contribute to projects that enhance the organization's broader Total Rewards strategy.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of progressive experience across payroll and benefits administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll.
  • Experience with biweekly and off-cycle payroll processing.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll deductions, reconciliations, ROEs, and T4s.
  • Experience administering complex employee benefits programs.
  • Experience working with RRSP/DPSP, HSA, health & dental, disability, and wellness programs.
  • Experience managing WSIB payments and claims.
  • Exposure to compensation benchmarking, salary mapping, and Total Rewards is highly valued.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, Finance, HR, and external providers.
  • PCP designation is preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and/or Humi is strongly preferred.
