Job summary

Compass Early Learning and Care in Ontario is seeking a permanent Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join the Human Relations Team. The role covers semi-monthly payroll, benefits administration, pension reporting and leaves of absence, with data accuracy and confidentiality paramount.

The successful candidate will have 2–5 years payroll experience, HRIS/Workday proficiency, and strong communication and Excel skills. Apply to rheath@compasselc.com.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years minimum payroll processing experience.
  • Experience working within an HRIS system (required).
  • Experience with Workday or similar payroll systems (preferred).
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree/certificate in an applicable field.

Responsibilities

  • Administer semi-monthly payroll and payroll deductions.
  • Coordinate benefits, pension, leaves of absence and related changes.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and audits; maintain confidential records.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance on hires, terminations and changes to compensation or benefits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions and payroll procedures.
