Job description
Overview

MineSense Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join the Finance team in Vancouver for a one-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Controller, the Specialist is responsible for payroll and benefits-related duties.

Salary
Base pay range: CA$30.00 / hr - CA$35.00 / hr

Responsibilities
  • Enroling new employees into the EAP platform
  • Process semi-monthly payroll for all Canadian and US employees
  • Oversee the execution of payroll within our Canadian and US operations
  • Enrolling new employees into GRSP and approving change/dashboard (contribution) requests
  • Assist with benefits communication – change forms, late enrollments, and ad hoc inquiries
  • Manually adjusting vacation balances
  • Coordinate offboarding of stock options/expenses and reminders for departing employees
  • Additional duties as occasionally required by your manager
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of full cycle payroll experience
  • Experience in Dayforce and ADP payrun payroll is highly desired
  • Experience processing payroll for 150+ employees in multiple provinces across Canada; overseeing international payrolls is an asset
  • Experience in options management is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship management skills
  • Understanding of payroll regulatory requirements and Employment Standards Acts
  • Self-starter; able to work independently and in teams
  • Experience working in Microsoft 365
  • Health & Safety conscious
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is considered an asset
  • Legally able to work in Canada
