Job summary

Agilus Consulting Group in Calgary is seeking a Payroll Analyst with a strong payroll background to support all aspects of time and scheduling and ongoing payroll auditing for Canada.

The role reports to the Manager, Payroll and is an onsite, Mon to Fri position with a 12-month contract. A 4+ year track record in integrated financial and payroll systems, and SAP time expertise are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience with integrated financial and payroll systems.
• SAP time administration experience a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong problem solving and ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage SAP Time and Schedule queries; configure and maintain time data.
• Assist with domestic payroll processes and data accuracy across pay periods.
• Monitor leave balances and conduct period-end data reviews.
• Respond to internal/external inquiries promptly with accurate information.
• Support payroll projects and system upgrades; back up teammates as needed.

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Payroll Analyst in the Oil and Gas Sector in calgary, Alberta.

Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, this individual will have a strong payroll background and will perform duties to support all aspects of time and scheduling, as well as ongoing payroll auditing for Canada.

A typical day:

• Review, coordinate and manage all aspects of SAP Time and Schedule queries (update, audit, review, test, validate)Configure and maintain time and schedules.
• Assist with analysis and issue resolution for domestic payroll and time processes to ensure data is administered correctly.
• Monitor and report on various leave balances, Participate in pay period audits and data review.
• Commit to research and respond to internal/external inquiries on a timely basis.
• Key member in time, schedule, and payroll projects (audits, enhancements, system upgrades, support) to improve quality of payroll services.
• Back up and support for other payroll and time team members during absences.
• Assist with year-end administration as required.

Successful candidates will have:

• 4+ years' progressive experience working with an integrated financial and payroll system , SAP time administration experience is an asset, but not required.
• Experience with a large ERP payroll system; expertise in SAP Payroll is an asset, Advanced Excel skills.
• Proactive problem solving and analytical skills essential, Flexible and able to work well under pressure of deadlines, multiple projects, changing , priorities, and last-minute changes.
• Detail oriented and excellent time management skills, Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, Works well in a collaborative team environment.
• Professional payroll certification/designation is considered an asset.
