Job summary

CIBC is offering a Student Associate internship in the Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) within Global Payment Services (GPS). Based in Toronto, you’ll contribute to FX and cross-border payment solutions, support product development, and engage with Capital Markets, Payments, Technology, and Operations teams.

Placed in a dynamic, relationship-driven bank environment, you’ll gain hands-on experience in analytics, project execution, and business strategy while working on real-world client

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a master’s degree in commerce, economics, STEM or related program with graduation date no earlier than Dec 2027.
• Strong analytical skills and interest in financial markets; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support product development and business strategy within GPS and ASG.
• Assist with client engagement initiatives across diverse client base including financial institutions and corporations.
• Contribute to project execution and performance analysis within global payments and FX domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Capital Markets, Payments, Technology and Operations.
• Develop insights and analytics to improve ASG’s product capabilities and deliverables.
