Job summary

Soho Square Solutions in Toronto is seeking a Business Analyst to support a payments-focused program, translating payment requirements into clear, testable specs for API-driven integrations.

You will gather business and functional requirements, write API specs, data mappings, and interface requirements, collaborating with developers, architects, and QA to ensure gaps are resolved and UAT signs-off achieved.

Qualifications

• Hands-on BA experience on API integration projects (REST/JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman or similar).
• Payments domain background: card, ACH, wires, RTP, or cross-border.
• Working knowledge of ISO payment standards, ideally ISO 20022 (pacs, pain, camt) and/or ISO 8583.
• Strong documentation skills: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements for payment flows.
• Write API integration specs, data mappings, and interface requirements.
• Work with developers, architects, and QA to clarify requirements and resolve gaps.
• Map payment messages and data fields across systems and partners.
• Support UAT, defect triage, and sign-off.
