Burnaby Blacktop Ltd. is seeking an experienced Paving Foreman to lead asphalt paving crews across municipal, commercial, and industrial projects in Burnaby, BC.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on quality work, safety, productivity, and cost control. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in asphalt paving with foreman or lead hand experience, strong knowledge of paving operations, grading, and equipment, plus experience with job costing and daily production tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise paving crews on-site.
• Plan daily work activities and coordinate crew, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Read and interpret drawings, grades, and site plans.
• Work closely with project managers and superintendents.
• Complete accurate job costing, including labor, equipment, and material tracking.
• Monitor productivity and adjust operations to stay on budget.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized job site.
• Train and mentor crew members.

Pay: $38–$45 per hour, based on experience

Description

Burnaby Blacktop Ltd. is looking for an experienced Paving Foreman to lead asphalt paving crews on municipal, commercial, and industrial projects. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality work, safety, productivity, and cost control.

Experience Required

• Minimum 3–5 years of asphalt paving experience, with foreman or lead hand experience

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of paving operations, grading, and equipment
• Experience with job costing, daily reports, and production tracking
• Ability to lead a crew and communicate clearly on‑site
• Strong safety mindset and problem‑solving skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 is an asset)
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
