Job summary

CHEO is seeking a Patient Service Clerk to schedule patient appointments, register patients, and support clinic operations in Ottawa. The role uses Epic systems for registration and scheduling, Cadence referrals, and fee collection, with a focus on patient-centered services.

The ideal candidate has a secondary school diploma, strong communication skills in English and French, and familiarity with Epic, Sunrise, and Outlook. Prior ambulatory registration experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma required; related experience preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and French.
• Experience in clerical/registration tasks within a clinical setting is a plus.
• Proficient with Epic, Sunrise and Outlook software.
• Experience with Epic Cadence is preferred; Cadence registration experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and create new profiles in Epic.
• Process patient registrations in Cadence and manage referrals.
• Schedule patients, follow-ups, and interpreters as needed.
• Greet patients and verify demographics; collect fees when required.
• Maintain clinic inventories and manage filing and charts.
