Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Claresholm Hospital is seeking a Cook I for casual/relief duties. You will prepare and plate meals, portions, and assemble items while following standardized recipes and safety guidelines. You will help with inventory, ordering, and sanitation to support patient care.

Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent, ability to lift 46 lbs, and English communication. A Food Sanitation certificate or equivalent is preferred, with hospital or healthcare experience considered

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Physically capable to lift up to 46 lbs and push/pull carts up to 250 lbs.
• Walk and stand for the duration of the shift; good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals following recipes and policies.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and ensuring food safety standards.
• Operate and clean food service equipment and handle cash in retail settings.
• Provide mentorship and support to NFS staff as needed.
• Ensure meals are portioned and prepared using proper techniques.
