Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Food Service Worker for a temporary, part-time long-assignment role at Fishermen's Memorial Hospital. You will prepare and serve meals, assist patients and visitors, and ensure safe food handling and sanitation.

The position requires good customer service and teamwork in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include taking meal orders, delivering meals, and maintaining orderly service areas.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/GED or equivalent is required.
• Fluent English and basic math skills are expected.
• Restaurant or customer service experience is an asset.
• Ability to work in a team and meet departmental goals.

Responsabilités

• Answer patient phone calls and enter meal selections on a computer or tablet.
• Assemble, portion and serve patient, visitor meals and nourishments.
• Deliver meals and nourishments and collect soiled trays.
• Maintain food handling, safety, cleanliness and sanitation standards.
