Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Office Administration training program with previous experience in medical terminology and transcription.
• Demonstrated ability to data enter 40 WPM with 80% accuracy.
• Advanced ability to proof-read, identify and correct errors.

Responsibilities

• Preparing consultation reports for Pathologists and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing reports
• Maintaining metrics such as turn-around-time audits, monthly report totals, report tracking time audits and other specialized reports
• Administrative duties such as updating manuals, policies and procedures and preparing business documents such as minutes, memos, letters and labels
• Assisting the Pathologists and department head with special projects and surgical pathology QA program work
• Other duties as required
