What You’ll Do:

  1. Contribute to an exceptional culinary experience for all guests
  2. Be responsible for the pastry station for lunch and dinner services, keeping to the standards set by the Head Pastry Chef
  3. Plate and serve desserts and bread for the restaurant and events
  4. Create new dishes frequently
  5. Execute daily station mise en place and service to the standards set by Head Pastry Chef
  6. Work in a kitchen with a daily changing, seasonal menu that utilizes the best of local ingredients and suppliers
  7. Demonstrate a willingness to learn, be forward-thinking, and adaptable
  8. Adapt to the unique service each day brings with a sense of confidence and excitement, sometimes performing roles outside your job description

What You Have:

  1. 5-6 years’ experience in a similar standard of kitchen
  2. Experience leading and managing a team, including mentoring junior chefs
  3. Ability to maintain consistency in high-volume pastry production
  4. Be a self-starter with problem-solving skills, high standards, and be a team player
  5. Solid pastry techniques and skills, good knowledge of ingredients and seasonality
  6. Passion for creativity in pastry and desserts with the ability to stay updated on industry trends and implement new techniques
  7. Ability to adjust menus and recipes based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  8. Excellent communication skills
  9. Positive work ethic and professional attitude
  10. Current “Food Safe” certification (or equivalent)
  11. A real desire to work in a fast-paced kitchen that makes everything from scratch
  12. Quick learner, able to comprehend, incorporate, and impart knowledge effectively
  13. Open availability until October
