Job summary

Compass Group Canada in Halifax is seeking a committed Baker to prepare a variety of baked goods following recipes and production sheets. You will assist with daily production planning, maintain high quality and food safety standards, and ensure clean, organized work areas.

The role requires a professional baking certificate or equivalent experience, reliability, and strong teamwork. Candidates should be flexible with hours and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional baking certificate or equivalent baking experience is an asset.
• Reliability and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per production sheets.
• Assist production planning to meet daily requirements.
• Ensure proper food preparation by following approved recipes and standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment and area.
• Handle food safely and comply with safety regulations.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving.
• Keep up with peak production calmly and accurately.
