Job summary

Four Seasons Whistler is hiring a Full Time Pastry Commis 2 to support the preparation and execution of high-quality pastries in a luxury kitchen. You will work with a skilled team, maintaining precision and care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires pastry experience, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a world-class resort setting in Whistler, BC. A Food Safe certificate and Canada work authorization are needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a pastry role within a professional kitchen.
  • Culinary education is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and execution of desserts and pastries in line with Four Seasons standards.

About the role

At Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, our service team plays a vital role in creating thoughtful, memorable guest experiences. As a Full Time Pastry Commis 2 , you'll support the preparation and execution of high-quality pastries and desserts within a collaborative kitchen environment that values precision, consistency, and care. Note, we are hoping to have someone start September 15th.This role is suitable to someone who takes pride in their craft, performs well in a fast-paced setting, and is motivated to continue developing their skills within a luxury hospitality environment. You'll be part of a kitchen that balances high service volume with a strong commitment to quality and consistency.

What You'll Do
  • Support the preparation and execution of desserts and pastries in line with Four Seasons standards
  • Maintain Food quality, cleanliness and safety standards within your station
  • Work closely with chefs and team members to ensure smooth, timely service
What You'll Bring
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment specializing in pastries
  • Culinary education is preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven setting with flexible scheduling
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Safe certificate.
  • Valid work authorization for Canada
