Fox Harb’r Resort in Nova Scotia is seeking a passionate Pastry Cook to join our luxury kitchen team. You will prepare daily line and banquet pastries with precision and care, upholding our high standards.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of pastry experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Must be obsessed with food and have a keen interest in the pastry arts.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Ability to maintain food quality and presentation standards within a consistency-based framework.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must display attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively.
• Flexibility.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all menu items are prepared efficiently to standard and to customer requirements.
• To ensure all mis en place is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• To ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all food product.
• To follow all appropriate provincial health regulations and food handling techniques.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• To be cognizant of food cost, portion, and waste controls.
