Job summary

Fox Harb’r Resort is a 5 Star, 4 Diamond property along the Nova Scotia coast seeking a Food & Beverage Server. The role emphasizes courtesy, efficiency, and guest liaison with team collaboration in a luxury environment.

Qualified candidates have at least one year of service experience; luxury hotel or fine dining experience is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, plus the ability to stay calm under pressure, are essential to success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Take a responsible role in day-to-day operation, maintaining and assisting others in the appearance and operating efficiency of all dining areas.
• Perform all aspects of service expectations and any necessary extra duties as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies and departmental procedures.
• Ensure all menu items are entered in POS quickly and correctly with follow up with kitchen team members.
• Know all menu specials, shortages, or item specifics on a per shift/day basis and have knowledge of existing menus.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of all products, tools and workspaces.
• Follow all health regulations and food safety techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report any breakage, incident, or safety concern to supervisor or F&B Director.
• Ask for assistance in areas of service or procedural performance as needed.
• Maintain security of information, key control areas, inventories and time management; encourage responsible actions in others.
• Learn and know areas of product knowledge, service techniques and procedures.
• Complete closing tasks such as reports, checklists, and shift/day/night synopses for follow-up or handover.
