Italian Centre Shop Ltd in Edmonton, AB is hiring a Full-Time Pastry Baker for our West End location (17010 90 Ave NW). The role involves preparing and decorating pastries, maintaining inventory, and greeting customers in the bakery department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a bakery environment.
• Enrolled in or have completed at least the first year of the Baking Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities

• Keeping and maintaining records relating to inventory and production levels.
• Filling the display case with finished pastries.
• Greeting customers in the bakery department in a timely manner.
• Answering customer questions and providing advice regarding products.
• Communicating customer requests to their supervisor and/or department manager.
• Measuring and weighing out baking ingredients.
• Setting time and speed controls for mixing or blending machines to ensure consistency.
• Decorating pastries using different glazes, icings, and toppings.
• Adhering to posted schedule and following food safety protocols.
