Job Description
The Role

Give your career a lift with Arpac, western Canada’s leading provider of material handling equipment and industrial storage solutions for over 40 years. Our expanding company has over 200 employees at our locations in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.

Arpac is expanding and we need your help! We are currently looking for a Dock Service Technician at our Delta branch. The ideal candidate has previous experience working on a variety of docks and doors.

A Typical Day

Dock Service Technicians are supplied a company vehicle which is taken home each night. You use your company-supplied cell phone to call dispatch, who schedules your day from one customer job site to another. Only periodic trips are made into the branch to resupply your van with parts. This position performs repairs, maintenance, and inspections on Dock Equipment and Doors at customer sites.

Requirements
  • Applicable lift truck, automotive or heavy duty service experience
  • And/or: Automotive or Heavy Duty service technician ticket (Journeyperson)
  • Clean and valid Class 5 driver’s license

Arpac is on the search for an experienced Parts Technician to complement our Edmonton Team. Working to provide exceptional service to customers from all types of industries and applications will keep each day dynamic and interesting! Your day will include a variety of duties including assisting front counter walk-in customers, supporting our Service shop and field technicians, maintenance of customer site consignments, and van inventory maintenance. The ideal candidate has 3 – 5 years parts experience and successful completion of accredited Parts Apprenticeship Program or Journeyperson ticket.

Human Resources Manager

Arpac is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled Human Resources Manager to support our Alberta and BC operations. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of employee relations, safety programs, legal counsel, and the day-to-day management of our HR department.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources and Employee Support

  • Facilitate performance reviews, handle exit interviews, and support termination processes in alignment with management.
  • Conduct thorough investigations related to workplace issues, including incidents involving safety, harassment, discrimination, and more.
  • Proactively address and resolve HR issues with practical solutions, developing and implementing action plans.

Safety Program Management

  • Perform site inspections to promote and ensure safe work practices.
  • Oversee and manage ongoing COR (Certificate of Recognition) requirements, including conducting internal audits.
  • Review accident investigations, propose corrective actions, and follow up to completion.
  • Coordinate with contractors to maintain compliance with safety standards.

Injury Management

  • Manage the BC Worksafe and Alberta WCB accounts.
  • Oversee accident and incident investigations and ensure resolution across branches.
  • Administer LTD, medical claims, and related injury support for employees.

Legislative & Legal Compliance

  • Provide consistent and pragmatic advice on a range of HR issues, including employee relations, performance management, discipline, and legislative matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, advising management on necessary actions.

Daily Operations

  • Participate in safety meetings across Alberta and BC.
  • Manage HR responsibilities and oversee operations across locations.
  • Travel periodically to our Calgary and Vancouver branches as required.
