Job summary

Smithers Toyota in Smithers, Canada, is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department. Qualifications

  • Toyota parts experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience managing high-turn inventory with forecasting and availability.
  • Ability to recognize trends and make sound inventory purchasing decisions.
  • Strong understanding of inventory replenishment, turnover and stock accuracy.
  • Comfortable learning and using inventory reports, dealership systems and Toyota tools.
  • Strong leadership, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Use sales history, service trends and upcoming work to anticipate parts demand.
  • Maintain the right inventory mix and appropriate stocking levels.
  • Use Toyota and dealership inventory tools to support purchasing and replenishment decisions.
  • Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, aging and obsolete inventory.
  • Manage special orders, back-orders, returns and replenishment.
  • Maintain strong inventory accuracy and organized parts storage.
  • Work closely with Service Advisors and technicians to anticipate parts requirements.
  • Lead and support the Parts Department team.
  • Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide professional service to retail, wholesale and internal customers.

Parts Manager

Smithers Toyota is looking for an experienced Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department.

A major focus of this role is predictive inventory management — using sales history, seasonal trends, upcoming service work, back-orders and available Toyota tools to anticipate demand and keep the right parts on hand without creating unnecessary excess inventory.

The Parts Manager will also lead the Parts Department team, support our Service Department and ensure strong customer service, accurate processes and efficient day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use sales history, service trends and upcoming work to anticipate parts demand

  • Maintain the right inventory mix and appropriate stocking levels

  • Use Toyota and dealership inventory tools effectively to support purchasing and replenishment decisions

  • Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, aging and obsolete inventory

  • Manage special orders, back-orders, returns and replenishment

  • Maintain strong inventory accuracy and organized parts storage

  • Work closely with Service Advisors and technicians to anticipate upcoming parts requirements

  • Lead and support the Parts Department team

  • Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for improvement

What We Are Looking For
