Job summary

Dodge City Auto in Canada is seeking a Parts Advisor, Back Counter to join our fast-paced dealership team. You will locate parts for technicians and customers, process orders, handle special requests, coordinate delivery, and keep shelves stocked while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

The role demands familiarity with auto parts operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work onsite. A valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in Canada are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive dealership/Parts Department.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program or training is an asset.
  • Experience with CDK is an asset.
  • Understanding of Parts & Service operations and inventory management.
  • Diplomacy, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professionalism and high integrity; trusted and reliable.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful.
  • MS Word/Excel and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research and source parts for technicians/internals.
  • Sell parts to customers or service work orders.
  • Complete special-order parts requests.
  • Communicate status of parts ordered and notify upon delivery.
  • Pick-up parts for customers or technicians as required.
  • Restock shelves and assign warranty parts to bins.

Your area of focus.

Working in a fast-paced dealership environment you will look up and provide parts for internal and external customers.

What drives your day-to-day?
  • Research and source parts for technicians/internals
  • Sell parts to customer or service work orders
  • Complete special-order parts requests that need to be ordered by the customer
  • Communicate with the customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership
  • Pick-up parts for customers or technicians as required
  • Restock shelves and put warranty parts into appropriate bins
  • Keep work area and displays clean
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as required
What are the must-haves…
  • Some familiarity and/or experience with working in an automotive dealership and/or Parts Department
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses is considered an asset
  • Experience with CDK is considered an asset
  • A general understanding of Parts & Service operations and inventory management
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A person of professionalism and high integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honors their commitments
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful
  • High-level skills in Word, Excel and MS Office etc.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time
  • Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license and have a safe driving history
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $45,000 – $51,000 Salary — Plus bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience. This position will also be eligible to participate in the Company's annual cash bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
