Job summary

Pavilion Women's Centre in Temiskaming District invites applications for the TDVAWCC Coordinator, an executive-level administrative role hosted by the TDVAWCC. The part-time position supports the Executive Director and chairs the committee, coordinating meetings, reporting, and community outreach across district agencies.

Responsibilities include minutes, finance liaison, data collection, media contact, and capacity building with partner organizations.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Understanding of the social service sector and non-profit services.
  • Proven dedication to violence against women work and social justice.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license or reliable transportation.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the agency.
  • Bilingual French/English preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to TDVAWCC and sub-committees, including minutes, reporting, statistics, and meeting facilitation.
  • Maintain financial records and collaborate with the Finance Manager at Pavilion Women's Centre.
  • Identify barriers that prevent women and children from accessing services.
  • Serve as a designated media contact for TDVAWCC activities.
  • Promote TDVAWCC through community outreach and education.
  • Create presentations, media releases, and committee documents.
  • Protect confidentiality and provide program support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations and agencies.

Education

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field
Understanding of the social service sector
Knowledge of community services and anti-oppression frameworks
Proficient in group facilitation
Ability to work with Indigenous and Francophone communities
Bilingual French/English preferred
