Job summary

Giant Tiger in Niagara Falls, Ontario is seeking a Store Associate (Part-Time) to deliver exceptional customer service at the checkout and surrounding areas. You’ll support replenishment, signage, and merchandising standards while handling a portion of the day-to-day store tasks with accuracy and care.

The role involves a mix of day/evening shifts and weekends, with a typical 24–40 hour schedule for part-time staff, and you’ll be part of a Total Rewards program including benefits after

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and effective communication.
• Experience recording transactions on electronic cash registers and self-checkouts (SCOs).

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of customer service.
• Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash register, mainline and SCOs.
• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area.
• Follow up on hot selling items and complete markdowns and SKU changes when needed.
• Maintain planograms, labels, tickets and signing standards.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Ensure compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery.
• Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed.
• Keep checkout area clean and organized.
• Follow loss prevention best practices.
