Job summary

Thermea Spa Village Whitby is seeking a passionate Server in Whitby, Ontario, to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a high-volume setting. You will join a welcoming team and help create a memorable wellness-focused dining environment.

Reporting to the F&B Management Team, you will greet guests, take orders, serve beverages, and ensure courteous, efficient service while maintaining stations and assisting with opening/closing tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; minimum of two years in high-volume serving.
• Diploma in hospitality is an asset.
• Experience with a POS system is an asset.
• Knowledge of wine characteristics and pairings is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to listen to guest needs.
• Positive attitude, autonomy, dynamism and detail-oriented.
• Genuine care for the wellbeing of others; good physical condition to stand long hours and lift 23 kg.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, offer suggestions and take orders.
• Provide fast, efficient and courteous service, ensuring a memorable experience for guests.
• Prepare and serve beverages, wine and spirits according to established standards.
• Prepare invoices and collect payment.
• Organize, clean and restock service stations and dining areas.
• Perform opening and closing task checklists.
• Perform other related duties.

What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

• Diploma in hospitality, an asset;
• Experience with a POS system, an asset;
• Knowledge wine characteristics and pairings, an asset;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to listen to guest needs;
• Positive attitude, autonomy, dynamism and detail-oriented;
• You genuinely care for the wellbeing of others;
• Good physical condition: ability to work long hours on your feet and ability to lift 50lbs (23kg).

You will work a varying schedule which requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings holidays.
