Job summary

First Student in Orangeville, Ontario is hiring a part-time School Bus Driver to start mornings and transport students in the afternoon, with field trips and special events available.

No experience is required as expert training and guidance are provided to help you become a safe and professional First Student driver. You will drive a morning and afternoon route Monday to Friday, with guaranteed minimum hours and perks across locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Full G license for at least 1 year.
• Part-time schedule with summers off and no evenings, weekends, holidays, or summers of work required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
