Job summary

Transdev East Ferris Bus Lines in Nipissing District is seeking part-time School Bus Drivers to transport students safely to and from school across Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan and Trout Creek.

Drivers earn up to CAD 21.30/hour for big buses, CAD 19.90/hour for mini vans or other duties, with training provided to pass the Ministry exams and obtain necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused with emphasis on student safety.
• Must hold a valid G license; B class preferred.
• Minimum age 21.
• Safe driving history with a clean record.
• Clear criminal record check.
• Knowledge of Nipissing District.
• Ability to work independently.
• Able to work split shifts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Meets MTO medical standards for B licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting students to and from school, treating them as precious cargo.
• Ensure student safety while boarding and exiting buses.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections for safety.
• Assist with fueling and maintaining bus cleanliness.
