Transdev East Ferris Bus Lines is hiring School Bus Drivers to serve Nipissing Student Transportation Service in Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan, and Trout Creek.

The role offers part-time shifts around your lifestyle with pay up to $21.30/hour for big buses and $19.90/hour for mini vans, plus training and opportunities for charters and benefits after 30+ hours.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold a valid G-class (minimum) driver’s license.
• Preference given to B-class license.
• 21 years of age or older.

• Able to obtain a clean criminal record search.
• Knowledge of Nipissing District and surrounding areas.

Transdev (East Ferris Bus Lines) is hiring Bus Drivers for the Nipissing Student Transportation Service. Servicing Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan, and Trout Creek.

Candidates applying with a current valid work permit and requiring a licence upgrade, must have at least twelve months of remaining validity on the work permit at the time of application. #INDSCHOOL

Your role as a School Bus Driver:

• You are responsible for safely transporting what we call “the most precious cargo” to and from school
• Ensure students’ safety while boarding and exiting buses.
• Be responsible for performing pre/post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
• Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus.

Your profile

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers.
• You are 21 years of age or over
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search
• You have a sound knowledge of the Nipissing District and surrounding areas
• You have the ability to work independently
• You have the ability to work split shifts that reflect transportation requirements for school age children
• You possess solid communication skills
• Great customer service and communication skills in order to interact with passengers, parents, school employees, co-workers and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
• You meet the required MTO medical standards required to obtain or maintainer a B licence.

• We offer all in-class and on road training required in order to Pass a Ministry of Transportation Driver Examination or obtain a certificate of competence from a recognized authority by passing a vision screening, knowledge test and a driving test in a bus of appropriate size is provided.
