Job summary

Transdev (East Ferris Bus Lines) is seeking School Bus Drivers to transport students in the Nipissing district, including Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan and Trout Creek. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, safety-first culture and training provided to upgrade licences as needed.

Responsibilities include safe loading/unloading, pre/post trip inspections, maintaining bus cleanliness, and delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused candidate with a valid G class license.
• Minimum age 21 with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a criminal record check and MTO medical standards.
• Knowledge of Nipissing District and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work independently and in split shifts.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Transdev (East Ferris Bus Lines) is hiring Bus Drivers for the Nipissing Student Transportation Service. Servicing Astorville, Bonfield, Callander, Corbeil, North Bay, Powassan, and Trout Creek.

Your role as a School Bus Driver:

• You are responsible for safely transporting what we call "the most precious cargo" to and from school
• Ensure students' safety while boarding and exiting buses
• Be responsible for performing pre/post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety
• Help fuel and maintain the cleanliness of the bus

Requirements

Your profile

• You are safety focused
• You hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license, Preference will be given to B class drivers
• You are 21 years of age or over
• You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
• You can obtain a clean criminal record search
• You have a sound knowledge of the Nipissing District and surrounding areas
• You have the ability to work independently
• You have the ability to work split shifts that reflect transportation requirements for school age children
• You possess solid communication skills
• Great customer service and communication skills in order to interact with passengers, parents, school employees, co-workers and the general public in a courteous and professional manner
• You meet the required MTO medical standards required to obtain or maintainer a B licence.
