Job summary

Extendicare Tri-Town in Haileybury, Ontario is hiring a part-time Registered Dietitian to provide nutritional care for residents in a 60-bed long-term care home. The role focuses on assessment, care planning, and follow-up within budgetary and legislative parameters, collaborating with the clinical team and Dietary Manager.

The successful candidate will have RD eligibility with the College of Dietitians of Ontario, geriatric nutrition expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian eligible for CDOT membership.
• Extensive knowledge of geriatric nutrition.
• 3–5 years experience in long-term care preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; RAI MDS 2.0 desirable; familiarity with PointClickCare asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional assessments and develop care plans for residents.
• Consult with Dietary Manager and Director of Care on nutrition needs.
• Implement and follow-up on nutrition and hydration programs.
• Educate residents, families and staff on nutrition recommendations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees as required.
