Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is hiring part-time housekeeping staff at Casino Rama Resort. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in public areas, stocking linen closets, supporting Room Attendants, and serving guests with a professional approach.

Overnight deep cleaning of designated areas is required. Ideal candidates will have cleaning experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience is an asset.
• Eligibility for AGCO Category 2 Licensing.
• WHMIS knowledge.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good verbal and written English communications skills.
• Good time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest room calls via Hot SOS Service Order in a professional and timely manner.
• Collect dirty linen and waste as per schedule pickups.
• Organize and restock linen closets with needed items for guest rooms.
• Clean and maintain guest room areas including corridors, ice machine, and elevators.
• Keep all public and non-public areas orderly and attractive.
• Work with a scheduled system of assigned duties.
• Ensure products and equipment are stored safely and notify supervisor of low supplies.
• Complete accurate inspection reports on equipment and report malfunctions.
• Remain familiar with cleaning chemicals and their uses.
• Maintain professionalism, positive demeanor and service etiquette at all times.
• Refill cleaning chemical bottles.
• Overnight – perform deep cleaning of all public areas, pool, spa and banquet spaces as assigned.
• Keep work areas free of hazards and debris.
• Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Adhere to departmental quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
