Job summary

Otter Co-op in Abbotsford, BC is hiring a part-time cook for the Highwayman Pub. You will prepare, season and cook meals in a timely manner while following dietary restrictions when requested.

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, responsibilities include operating kitchen equipment safely, maintaining sanitation, rotating stock, and ensuring accurate food inventories. This role requires open availability day and evening and a commitment to a SAFE working environment.

Qualifications

• FOODSAFE Level 1 is required.
• Experience in a full-service restaurant is an asset.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Open availability including day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season and cook meals in a timely manner.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow sanitation procedures.
• Maintain inventory of food items and rotate stock.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
