The Town of Ajax is seeking a Program Instructor, Skateboard to plan and teach a beginner to intermediate skateboard program for youth and adults, with an emphasis on safety, fun and skill development.
You will supervise participants at the park, follow park rules, and coordinate with the Community Recreation Coordinator to deliver engaging sessions on weekends, maintaining equipment and promoting inclusive participation.

Reporting to the Community Recreation Coordinator, the Program Instructor is accountable for planning and implementation of a safe and enjoyable beginner to intermediate program, teaching the fundamentals of the specified sport, art, dance, general interest, Leadership, etc. The Program Instructor, Skateboard is accountable for teaching participants how to skateboard, focusing on both beginners and those looking to improve their skills, and implementing a safe, enjoyable and diverse program for participants. The Program Instructor, Skateboard is responsible for the general supervision of participants at the park as well as ensuring the rules of the parks are being followed.

This is a non-union position that works up to 24 hours per week. The hours of work are Saturday, between 9:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
