Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Part-Time Merchandise Manager in Alberta to drive merchandising and operational execution and ensure a customer‑ready store. You will lead inventory routines, planogram sets, and price changes while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires retail leadership experience and strong organizational skills, with responsibilities including promotions execution, staff coordination, and collaboration with store leadership to align staffing and priorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and ensuring SOP and Company program compliance.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards with accountable team.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage; maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution; unload, sort, and move merchandise to the sales floor.
• Plan workload and prioritize tasks with store leadership to meet business needs.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to improve in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, customer-ready store environment including backroom.
• Manage inventory control, accuracy, and stock movement.
• Oversee price changes, promotions signage, and aisle product placement.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processing.
• Support Asset Protection practices and shrink reduction.
