Job summary

WestUrban is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to support our multi-family residential buildings in Victoria, BC. You will perform painting, drywall patching, repairs to windows, doors, fixtures, and diagnose plumbing, heating, and electrical issues.

Two years of experience in property management or construction is preferred; ability to lift, climb ladders, work independently, and collaborate in a team. We offer an hourly wage range of $26.00-$30.00 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and ladder work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Paint, patch drywall, mud and tape; detect defects, maintain exterior and basic ground upkeep.
• Repair windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, and carpet tiles.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, heating and electrical problems.

We are looking for aPart Time Maintenance Technician to assist with our multi-family residential buildings in Victoria, BC.

What you will be doing:

• Painting, drywall patching, mudding, and taping;
• Detecting faulty operations, defective materials, and reporting deficiencies;
• Maintain building exterior including basic ground maintenance;
• Perform repairs to windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, fixtures, and carpet tile replacement;
• Diagnosis and repair plumbing, heating, and electrical problems.

What you need to bring:

• Two years of experience in the property management and/or construction industry would be an asset;
• Ability to use physical exertion that includes lifting, carrying, climbing ladders and moving materials;
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a results-oriented approach;
• Ability to think creatively when problem solving, proactively adapting to challenges;
• Ability to work well independently;
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships and to work well in a team environment.
