Job summary

Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre invites applications for two part-time Line Cook and Catering Support positions in Scarborough, ON. You will prepare hot entrees, pizzas, wraps, and sandwiches, while maintaining safety and cleanliness during shifts.

Duties include cash and card transactions, serving customers, and assisting other teams with food preparation. A culinary background and Serve certifications help; flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of food prep and cooking experience; catering experience an asset.
• Culinary diploma or degree is an asset.
• Smart Serve and Food Handlers Certification required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team player.
• Ability to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of food handling and production (hot entrees, pizza, wraps, sandwiches, a la carte line).
• Follow daily opening and closing procedures; maintain clean and safe environment; restock and rotate products; check inventory and sorting deliveries.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with company and industry standards.
• Adhere to health and safety standards; close down events and return stock to storage.
• Accurately handle cash, debit and credit card transactions.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach when responding to inquiries.
• Ensure orders are to customer specifications.
• Ensure kitchen and service areas are clean and sanitary; maintain equipment.
• Assist other teams with food preparation as needed.
