OPENLANE is seeking a Part-Time Lead Driver in Moncton to lead a crew of drivers and safely transport coworkers between VLCs and delivery locations. You will input data via CarsArrive, perform pre-trip checks, and support vehicle readiness.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and professional customer service. Ideal candidates are safety‑minded, possess a valid license, and can drive in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport drivers to and from delivery locations.
• Input delivery data using CarsArrive app pre/post delivery.
• Perform pre-trip safety checks and report issues.
• Assist with vehicle boosts, fluid checks, and fueling.
• Complete weekly safety inspection on Lead Van.
• Represent OPENLANE professionally to customers and dealers.
• Coordinate paperwork and dealership interactions as needed.

You’ll operate a lead (chase) van driver, and will be responsible for safely transporting your coworkers. **This is a part-time position, typically scheduled for 3-5 shifts per week. Hours may range from 8:30am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.******You will:***** Safely and efficiently transport other drivers to/from delivery locations, while observing safe driving rules, rules of the road, and demonstrating courteous and defensive driving principles.* Accurately input data using CarsArrive app pre/post delivery and may assist drivers with receiving instructions from our dispatch team* Ensure that vehicles are road-worthy by checking tires, fuel, lights, signals & brakes using our pre-trip safety process* Assist with boosting vehicles, checking fluids, airing up tires, and fueling vehicles as needed for transportation* Complete weekly safety inspection on Lead Van and report any concerns or maintenance needs to management* Report all incidents properly and immediately per established procedures* Represent the auction in a professional and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service and demonstrating teamwork* May be required to interact with dealership staff, coordinating pick up/delivery cheques, titles, or other paperwork****Must Haves:***** Valid Driver's License* Safety conscious* Basic computer & smartphone skills required* Basic vehicle knowledge* Comfortable driving in all weather conditions* Comfortable driving long distances (up to 2 hours one way)****Nice to Haves:***** Ability to drive a standard transmission* Basic mechanical aptitude* Flexible availability, as shifts needed weekly can vary based on volume**Sound like a match?
