Job summary

Saint Benedict Parish seeks a SBP Kids Ministry Coordinator to cast vision, develop people, and build healthy teams that create a welcoming, faith-filled environment for children and families. The role partners with the Pastoral Director and Activator, emphasizing leadership development and strategic ministry planning.

The position is part-time (15 hours/week) with both on-site and remote work, including evenings and weekends, and reports to the Pastoral Director.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and train leaders, building healthy ministry teams.
• Develop curriculum and plans for Sundays, The Encounter and events.
• Oversee VBS planning and execution with Activator.
• Ensure SBP Kids on Sundays (9am and 11:30am) and The Encounter (Mon 7:00–8:30 pm).
• Manage Church Suite schedules, spaces and participant data.
• Plan family events and major celebrations (Epiphany, Pentecost, All Saints, Christmas).
• Create content for Bene Dictus and parish website/social media.
• Communicate with families about events, updates and changes.
• Support Activator and supervise ministry teams for smooth operations.
