Job summary

Well.ca in Calgary is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain stock integrity in the distribution center and support ongoing warehouse projects.

You will perform audits, fix discrepancies, ensure expiry checks, and report issues to the Inventory Control Team Lead, while lifting up to 50 lbs and using reach trucks.

The role includes a Sunday–Tuesday 8AM–4PM schedule, full benefits, and biweekly payroll; warehouse experience and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Excel.
• 2 years of warehouse experience.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Team-oriented, hardworking and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory stock numbers and correct counts as issues arise.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of inventory.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or unsafe conditions to the Inventory Control Team Lead.
• Ensure up-to-date expiry checks comply with company rules.
• Assist with warehouse projects and reorganization tasks.
• Operate material handling equipment as needed.

Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control Specialist will work under the direction of the Inventory Control Team Lead and will be responsible for Special Warehouse Projects and other inventory maintenance tasks as outlined below. Associates in this role are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory in Well.ca distribution center, as well as for reporting any discrepancies, damages, or otherwise problematic occurrences with product in a timely and effective manner.

This job posting is intended to fill the current existing vacancy of Inventory Control Specialist in Well.ca’s Calgary Inventory department. The start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Onsite, in the warehouse
• Maintain inventory stock numbers on the selves on all overstock products.
• Accountable for correcting inventory counts of products as problems arise.
• Perform regular audits and reconciliations on existing inventory.
• Investigate and resolve any quality control issues by monitoring emails and reporting back to the Inventory Control Team Lead
• Perform to the ongoing standards of Well.ca’s key metric indicators and performance metrics.
• Report any, and all discrepancies, including damages, unsafe/unsanitary conditions to the Inventory Control Team Lead immediately.
• Ensure that up to date expiry checks are being performed and fall within the Well.ca rules and restriction guidelines.
• Make ongoing recommendations for department improvement to the Inventory Control Team Lead
• Assist with all other warehouse projects, including but not limited to, inventory product moves, adding and removing locations and warehouse reorganization.
• Operation of material handling equipment: Reach Truck, OPR (Order Picker), Power Jack,
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Teams, Excel
• Candidate must be motivated, hard-working, and passionate.
• 2 years of demonstrable experience working in a warehouse
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
• A strong work ethic and the ability to perform in a team-oriented, fast-paced atmosphere is required.
• Analytical, Detail oriented and the drive to initiate change is a must.
• Candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Reach truck and material handling equipment experience would be considered an asset

Working Environment:

This position is in a warehouse environment and requires extended periods of walking and standing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
