Position Title: Part-time Instructor, Nursing Program
Status : Part-time teaching contract (beginning July 2025) Faculty/Department: Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness, Continuous Professional Learning
Campus/Location:North Campus- Hybrid Delivery
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, for eight consecutive weeks during January, April, July, and September
Salary: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience.

About the Part-time Instructor, Nursing Role:
The incumbent will be responsible for teaching courses within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness’s Continuous Professional Learning programs.
The incumbent will be responsible for teaching courses within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness's Continuous Professional Learning programs, reporting to the Program Advisors and Associate Dean. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction and contributing to the development and enhancement of course content, learning materials, and assessments that align with specified learning outcomes.
The incumbent will play a key role in creating a dynamic, inclusive, and innovative learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic success. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the incumbent will collaborate with instructor and stakeholders to support ongoing program and curriculum development, ensuring that the programs remain current, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of healthcare professionals.
As part of the role, the incumbent will also provide input into the design and continuous improvement of course structures, learning strategies, and assessment methods. Furthermore, they will engage in regular communication with Program Advisors and the Associate Dean, ensuring alignment between instructional practices and program goals, and actively contributing to the advancement of the faculty’s broader educational objectives. The successful candidate will be committed to fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, learning, and professional development within the faculty.

Education and Experience
A minimum of one year of post-secondary teaching experience is required. Experience in a clinical educator role will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate must exhibit a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying current with emerging research, trends, and advancements in healthcare.
In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate effective teaching skills, with a proven ability to coach and support students. They should have substantial experience in managing classroom dynamics and possess a deep understanding and application of contemporary pedagogical principles. A student-centered approach, coupled with a dedication to fostering innovation and driving positive change, is essential.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to the principles of equity and inclusion, work collaboratively as a team player, and contribute to cultivating a positive team culture. Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills are a must, along with a demonstrated capacity to make meaningful contributions to curriculum development and its delivery.
