Job summary

Conestoga College in Ontario is seeking Part-Time Professors to teach HRAC Technician, MT Gas and Sheet Metal, or 313A Apprenticeship courses starting January 2026. Courses may be in person, online, or hybrid, and typically run 2–6 hours per week in the classroom.

Successful candidates will teach one to two courses, work on campus as required, and be responsible for curriculum alignment, assessment, and student progress in a diverse learning environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related industry experience.
• A 313A Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Certificate of Qualification or a 308A Sheet Metal Worker Certificate of Qualification is required.
• Gas licenses – G2 or G1 are assets.
• Previous adult or post-secondary teaching experience is an asset.
• Experience with curriculum development is an asset.
• Experience with computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g., D2L) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program and course curriculum are current, relevant, and reflective of best practices in the field.
• Design strategies and tools for facilitating and evaluating student progress and achievement.
• Carry out regularly scheduled instruction according to the prescribed format (online, classroom, and computer-assisted labs).
• Ensure student awareness of course objectives, instructional approach, and evaluation systems.
• Evaluate student progress/achievement and maintain required records.
