Job summary

Oxford Learning Bayview Woods is seeking a part-time teacher-tutor for after-school and Saturday sessions in math and science. You will teach up to three students per session, online and in person, following our proprietary methods and documenting post-lesson notes and student updates.

Strong English communication and math/science knowledge are essential, with a commitment through year-end. Role requires commuting to the North York location; vulnerability screening is required and reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Good knowledge of Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, including advanced functions, algebra, calculus, vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time, online and in person.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post-lesson notes and daily student updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.
