Job summary

We are a busy Whitby family seeking a House Manager & Family Assistant to help our household run smoothly.

The role is part-time (15-20 hours/week), with daytime hours (Mon-Fri 9:00am-4:00pm) and occasional evenings. Responsibilities span household organization, meal components prep, laundry, errands, pet care, and light childcare; must be comfortable with dogs and have reliable transportation. Background check required.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle; mileage or gas reimbursement provided for work-related errands.
• Comfortable with dogs.

Responsibilities

• Household organization & maintenance: daily resets, organize systems, prep for weekly cleaner, seasonal swaps.
• Inventory & errands: restock pantry, manage subscriptions, handle deliveries.
• Meal support: prep dinner components 2-3 times per week, healthy snacks, keep kitchen organized.
• Laundry & linens: full laundry management for the family, weekly linen rotation.
• Pet care: backup support for family dog, coordinate grooming drop-offs.
• Deep cleaning & projects: occasional deep cleans and seasonal organization.
• Family support & admin: light childcare for date nights, manage family calendar, expense tracking.
