Job summary

Oxford Learning Grandview Heights – South Surrey is seeking a part-time High School Math & Science Tutor for the in-person South Surrey center. The role requires commuting and offers evenings 3pm–8pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday availability.

You will teach up to three students at varying levels, follow Oxford Learning methodologies, complete post-lesson notes, and maintain daily student communication while staying friendly and professional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• University students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of current Grades 8–12 math, Pre-Calc 11 and 12, Physics and Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Experience teaching/tutoring math at Grade 8–12 (or equivalent) level.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to multitask with up to three students at a time.

Part‑time High School Math & Science Tutor at Oxford Learning South Surrey Grandview Heights. The role is in‑person and requires commuting to the center.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching up to three students at a time at different levels.
• Following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Completing post‑lesson notes.
• Updating daily student communication.
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

• University students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Good knowledge of current Grades 8‑12 math, Pre‑Calc 11 and 12, Physics and Chemistry.

Experience

• Experience teaching/tutoring math at Grade 8‑12 (or equivalent) level.

• Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Schedule

• Evenings (3 pm–8 pm), Monday‑Friday, with occasional Saturday availability.

Compensation

$20 per hour.

Other Requirements

• Must be available for after‑school hours starting at 3 pm Monday‑Friday and occasional Saturdays.
• Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory for all positions.
• Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the South Surrey area.
