Job summary

Oxford Learning Mississauga Meadowvale is seeking a part-time High Science Teacher/Tutor to help students excel in math and science after school. You will teach up to three students at a time, follow the Oxford Learning methodologies, and fill in post-lesson notes and daily updates.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree progress or teaching certification, strong English communication, and solid math skills.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, including Advanced Functions, Calculus, vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology

Responsibilities

High Science Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning Mississauga Meadowvale is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Position Requirements

All teacher‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm–8:00 pm) as well as Saturdays (9:00 am–1:00 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is required; continuing through the summer is even better. You must be reliable and available in‑person at the Mississauga location – relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Teaching certification an asset

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent) level

• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Salary: $20 – $21 per hour

Schedule

• Monday & Wednesday 4 pm–8 pm
• Tuesday & Thursday 4 pm–8 pm
• Saturday availability
