Job summary

A leading education center in Toronto is seeking a Part-Time French Teacher/Tutor to support students in their French learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in spoken and written French and English, and the ability to teach up to Grade 9 level. Responsibilities include delivering lessons in a small group setting and following established methodologies. This position offers flexible evening hours and a competitive hourly wage of $18–$20.

Qualifications

• Comfortable teaching up to Grade 9 level; experience up to Grade 12 preferred.
• Must instruct class sessions in French.
• Commitment through the school year is preferred; continuing through summer is even better.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to four students at a time at different levels.
• Deliver lessons online and in-person.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.

Skills

Strong background in spoken and written French

Strong English written and oral communication skills

Ability to multitask and balance working with multiple students

Education

Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field

Teaching certification an asset
