Part‑Time French & High School Math/Science Teacher
Oxford Learning Centres Inc. is seeking a part‑time teacher‑tutor to work at our Scarborough location (205‑91 Rylander Blvd., Abbey Lane Plaza, Scarborough, ON). The role is full‑time during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm‑8:00 pm) and includes some Saturday sessions (10:00 am‑3:00 pm). A commitment through the end of the school year and continuing into summer is preferred.
Position Requirements
- Education
• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum, including Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, Calculus, vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology.
- Experience
• Experience teaching/tutoring French, math, and science at Grade 9‑12 level.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Strong math skills and ability to guide student understanding.
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
- Responsibilities
• Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
• Deliver instruction both online and in‑person (the role is in‑person).
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
• Evenings (4:00 pm‑8:00 pm)
• Monday to Friday
• Saturday availability
