Job summary

Sooke School District 62 is seeking a permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to work in-office at the Langford office. The role reports to the Director of Finance and focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while supervising accounting staff.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation with at least three years in public sector finance, preferably in education, and excels in Excel and ERP systems. Remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• The CPA designation in good standing is required.
• Minimum three years of recent public-sector experience; education sector preferred.
• Experience supervising staff; preferably in a unionized setting.
• Proven budget development, financial analysis and reporting for executives.
• Advanced Excel and Office skills; familiarity with host/internet apps; Atrieve ERP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead district budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Supervise and develop professional accounting staff.
• Collaborate with a 0.5 FTE Manager to support FP&A functions.
